Steel Bodies

Get a slick, brand-new steel body fastback or convertible Mustang! Of course, we carry these for all model years from 65 to 70. Our gorgeous, American-made steel bodies include radiator core support, engine bay panels, rear watts 4 link, MTF subframe with your choice of standard IFS or high performance C6 suspension (optional), power rack and pinion, and mini tubs. Our quality MTF fit and finish includes consistent body gaps, strong stitch welds, OE gauge quality steel panels.

While other companies may offer a new shell or roller for your classic Mustang build, the team at Mustangs To Fear go much further with our shells bringing your dreams to reality much sooner. We begin with a plain reproduction shell just like what was produced in the late 60’s, but as it all starts with a solid foundation, our shells are exclusive featuring the following MTF parts:

• MTF long frame in your choice of small block, big block, and Coyote configurations
• MTF engine panels and radiator support
• MTF IFS Mustang II coilover suspension in the front
• MTF 4 link watts in the rear with your choice of gear ratio
• MTF mini-tubs

In addition to the parts listed above we go the extra mile and prep the shell with the following parts and procedures:

• Relocate and weld in the seat belt mounting hole on the transmission tunnel
• Weld in lower seat belt brackets for 3 point harness
• Weld in an upper seat belt reinforcement bracket to accommodate a 3 point seat belt
• Weld in MTF exhaust mounting plates
• Weld in MTF roof panel patches
• Weld in MTF grounding studs for electrical connections
• Weld in MTF studs for brake line mounts
• Weld in MTF rear deck patch panels (1965-66 only)
• Weld in MTF air conditioner patch panel on the firewall
• Weld in MTF mounting studs for the air conditioner
• Weld in MTF radiator mount brackets
• Fill in unneeded holes on the firewall
• Install studs for front and rear glass trim
• Install ’69 seat risers (these provide additional leg room and head room)
• Drill holes for the MTF AC lines in the engine side panel
• Drill hole for wire harness on the firewall and tunnel
• Drill holes for MTF brake proportioning valve
• Drill hole for AC drain line
• Drill holes and mount battery jumper terminals in the trunk drop off
• Bolt in rear tie down brackets

OPTIONAL

• Upgrade to MTF C6 suspension
• Bond in MTF upper scoop patch panel
• Weld in MTF cowl cover plates
• Weld in MTF clutch patch panel
• Weld in MTF frame stiffeners
